Lets make vans that have no windows have windows in the back so the officer can see!! Well shoot, lets make truck shells illegal because you cannot see inside the cab through the shell. So, we are gonna make laws for safety, why not stop there. Thats all guys.my suggestion.Keep the tint as close to your states legail limit.and dont go so dark that its severely noticable.i like 20%.in the daylight you can still see in but it looks awsome So the short of the story is, its not a personal thing against you or your cars.these cops are looking at it as a saftey hazard to them.Īnd i can tell you one thing.i have NEVER written anyone for window tint.I have written warnings but never Money tickets.Īs far as the tint meter.if your asked to roll up the window for the tint meter.you do have to in massachusetts, its part of the investigation.if you dont, its not like your going to get arrested but you probably are going to get a ticket for everything wrong with your car. and secondly they could have a damn shotgun pointed at me for all i know. so when im on a car stop and i cant see in the car its very dangerous for the police.i have no way of knowing if theres 1 person in the car or 4. You cannot see a thing inside this car.and i know other officers can s scary not knowing what your walking into.i dont know about other cops but i work in a city and with cities come more crime. SAFTEY.have you ever tried walking up behind a car that has all its windows tinted at 11pm. Now the main reason police are very picky on tint laws is for one reason and one reason only. The reason being is due to traveling back and forth from work in uniform and paid details ect. Im Mass all law enforcement officials are exempt from state tint laws along with some other states.
Secondly, I have always tinted my vehicles due many reasons, one including looks. First off you guys have to remember police officers have camaros too and are on this forum(like me) so no bashing.
